This month gets a bad wrap. No melancholia allowed! Everything is just getting better (& not just the weather) if you shift your perspective slightly. THAT's what April is about; no plateaus, just rising above bad vibes via the pursuit of #chill and (re)build.

Being cooped up with a shelter-in-place order for a year can make a person pretty pensive - I get it. It's an overall balancing act and there's a definite art to alternating between April's general moodiness and the small wins of the world getting back to a form of normalcy; either way, we could all use some pep in our step!
This month's holiday line up is a blend of mellow meets zeal meets epiphanizing (i.e. April Fools Day, April birthdays, baseball season, Good Friday, Easter, 4/20, Earth Day). And as the lakes, rivers, and ponds are getting filled up again, we can use that as a direct/indirect metaphor.
“April is a promise that May is bound to keep". - Hal Borland
This is a continuation of my ongoing monthly series since every month has a variety of things to celebrate and comes with a general "theme". The gift ideas below can be given across the board and expanded on but they all definitely have an appropriate April-ish/seasonal vibe to them ~*
Personally, I think these next 3 items should be purchased together for your gift recipient as it will probably become a ritual for them, haha.
Step 1: They'll make their own edible munchies from scratch with Mary-jane as the featured ingredient and proceed to have a mental/spiritual breakthrough moment. Step 2: Grab their nap-anywhere pillow to settle in for another Netflix series binge sesh. Step 3: The next morning, throw back an "apple"-a-day like the doctors say (and mellow out before the Zoom meeting that should've been an email:).
DIY Bird house/feeder - Those birds that land on your balcony need a place to sleep too ya' know. Its a jungle out there in nature, how cool would it be to make a home for them?!
Virtual Meeting "queue" Cards - to make those awkward video call moments a little less awkward, lol.
Just Do It - ....make your art no matter what; like the title of this book. No matter where you are in your art-making journey, this book will motivate and inspire you. Because not only do you need your art—the world needs it, too.
DIY Ferris Wheel - an instant, fun, no-mess(or glue) craft project! The kit comes with 48 jumbo wood sticks, 49 small wood sticks, 170 assorted clips, and 1 wooden dowel.
Galaxy Projector - be star gazer, any night, and in any room of your house. Whether you want just a cooler night light or a sleepover mood setter; this thing is a WIN.

Let people vent....to someone OTHER than you;) - Gift someone a therapeutic outlet. BetterHelp, is a service I've used on & off for 3 years. Your giftee can choose a therapist by filtering to their hearts desire: male/female, specialty, education, belief system, age, as well as choosing how to chat via phone, live video, instant message, or email. Change therapists as often as they'd like to find the right fit. TalkSpace, is comparable in similar offerings but what stands out the most is their partnerships with several employers & a few insurances (even Cigna!) to help people cover the cost.
Flying Wish Paper - like blowing out the candles on a birthday cake, only a lot more dramatic, this activity set encourages your gift recipient to dream big, then let the wind blow the ashes out into the universe like a spiritual positivity boomerang.
Water Powered Watch - perfect for rainy season, no (unless you want to go the sexy umbrella route)? Just unscrew the back, fill with water, and the H2O's ions begin generating electricity by reacting to special metal plates. Choose from 8 vibrant colors for an accent to any outfit.
Wireless Banana "land-line" Phone - Compatible with any smartphone through Bluetooth. Just pair it with your device to receive calls and use your favorite voice assistant (like Siri) to make them. The plastic cover is made of 100% recycled material, has a USB-rechargeable battery, and you can talk for up to 10 hours!
** I'm also revamping my own small business to give you an additional wildcard option in the future - stay tuned for updates!**
